My recruiter gave me a guid that is supposto help me follow a ridgid routine that should ensure that I maintain in top shape for my ship out date, but I feel like it is too easy. All it has me do is varried 3-4 mile runs followed by around 20 minutes of isometrics. I was training a lot harder then this prior to getting this guid, should I continue to follow it or should I switch back to my old training routine, which I feel was much more difficult. I would post the guid, but I cant find a link and its probably the same one most recruits on the east coast get anyways.

Follow it. One guy had a week to goto boot camp, he decided to run 4 miles, broke his ankle and was delayed.

yeah, i had the same question about my ruotine, but my recruiter *****ed me out about it. He said the best way is to follow the guide, and to train at the office when i could, seeing as how i live 15 minutes away. That way they could supervise my routine.

Stick with your harder exercise... the guide one will be too easy. Just don't do any hardcore weightlifting/PT or marathons the week prior to shipping out

Use the guide but modify it until it's hard enough for you but never do less than what the guide says.
