500 Marines and sailors back from Iraq tomorrow

Nearly 500 Marines and sailors with the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing will return to San Diego County tomorrow after completing a deployment to Iraq.
About 300 of them are scheduled to celebrate a homecoming at Camp Pendleton, and the rest are expected to do likewise at Miramar Marine Corps Air Station.
The air wing is the aviation combat element of the Camp Pendleton-based 1st Marine Expeditionary Force. Its units were part of roughly 25,000 Marines and sailors who served in Iraq during the past year.
Most of these service members were assigned to Anbar province in western Iraq.
