:mad::mad:I've come to the realization that I don't believe in this war and I don't believe in what Pres. Bush is trying to accomplish. I could understand going after Bin Laden especially after 9/11 but there's is absolutely no reason to be in Iraq. The terrorist factions have dwindled since the hanging of Sadam and are virtually non-existent with the exception of the few stagglers and hard-core haters of the U.S. that are still present, but that's not nearly enough reason to stay there. All Bush is doing is wasting tax payers money to support this seemingly never-ending war. I DON'T AGREE WITH IT AT ALL!!!!

10Z is a great guy and good Marine, I am sure if he was still active he would have no issue killing the enemy. I feel the same about myself.

The problem is the misleading statements that led us into war. The tactics we use/don't use. We should have been out of this debacle years ago.

More no than yes. If we didn't radicalize Usama bin Ladin and his Al-Qaeda bunch when we allied with them against the Russians, then turn around and p!ss them off by siding with the Jews in Beirut, the answer would be no.

What little yes they are a threat to my home was when Usama attacked his enemy who just happened to be from my country. The Industrial Military Complex [IMC].

If Usama really wanted me or you he would of attacked the nuclear reactors in New York or Chicago. Instead he sought revenge against the murders of his people the American/Israeli coalition: Twin Towers (Jews), White House and the Pentagon.

Look, I've been relatively patient when it comes to diverse views, comments, opinions, outlooks, etc. - especially when it comes to 10thZodiac's comments. Everyone on this site should know that I am a firm Democrat and all that (however you define that is up to you, but no socialist here). However:

10thZodiac, you have really stepped over the line with your anti-Semitic comment in this thread. Your insinuitions regarding Jews and the WTC, combined with your holier-than-thou anti-American postings cloaked in pseudo-patriotic ramblings and your fake-azz Leatherneck signature and Zionist conspiratorial rantings have really worn thin. I really wonder if you are actually or had ever been a Marine, much less American.

Please do America and the Marine Corps a favor and unsubscribe yourself from this site. I have one nerve left concerning your idiocy...and you're already dancing on it.

Marines, Marines Marines. Look we all have our points, and our opinions. Look like Thomas Jefferson said " I dont agree with what you say but I will fight for your right to say it". I hold these words very dear, and each person is entitled to there opinion we may not agree with it, but that does not gives us the right to bash each Marine on this forum. Now I just responded to Former Cpl's other forum, about his going crazy from being recalled from IRR, yes I did get on his ass for that BECAUSE!! that is a Marine Corps Issue, and I dont agree with him on trying to object to an AGREEMENT, AND OATH!! That he made to his Country and Marine Corps, and most of the other Marines were equally agreeable on this. However Former Cpl stating his beliefs as an AMERICAN ON THIS THREAD, is his American Right!! no matter how much we disagree with it, and we can DISAGREE WITH IT!! as Americans ourselves, but in a debatable, PROFESSIONAL!! MANNER!!. I know there will be those that agree with me and those that dont. But remember before you slam a fellow MARINE!! that gave 4 years to his country already that there are others that read this, like Marine Poolees, and Family and before you speak remember there alot of them that may feel the same, but continue to support, and defend the Marine Corps besides there opinions. And just a note I disagree with Former CPL's Idea's, I myself am trite and true to this war and its cause, but I did not bash him like many of you did. Semper Fi Marines agree or disagree but this is my opinion like it or not.

SEMPER FI,

I am not in this debate, but I googled Kerry and found this:

Military service (1966–1970)

Kerry joined the Navy Reserves during his senior year at Yale. He is quoted as saying that he decided to join the Navy after he approached his draft board for permission to study for a year in Paris, and the draft board refused.[7] (http://www.thecrimson.com/article.aspx?ref=352185) In addition, several of his classmates were enlisting in the armed services. Upon graduation from Yale, Kerry entered active duty and served until 1970, eventually reaching the rank of Lieutenant. Kerry was awarded several medals during his second tour of Vietnam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vietnam), including the Silver Star (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver_Star), Bronze Star (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronze_Star_Medal), and three Purple Hearts (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purple_Heart). Kerry's military record has received considerable praise and criticism during his political career, especially during his unsuccessful 2004 bid for the presidency (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kerry_presidential_campaign%2C_2004).

Geez...I just caught this thread and wow....LOL.

First, the former Cpl has a 'right' to his opinion. We may disagree, but fine. And, if he decides to bail, then that is on him. We can certainly look at him in a different way, THAT is our right. Anyone coming on here and posting such nonsense right off the bat, tho, seems to me like a typical troll looking for a response.

However, if 'former' really does bail, then he has given up the right to call himself a Marine. We don't get to pick and choose where we go and what we do. When you sign your name, you give up that ability. Such is the way of things. You either suck it up and deal with it, or you take the cowards way out. Free will and all that. But, you take the cowards way, go elsewhere looking for sympathy, you won't get it here. Perhaps 'daily kos' or some such.

Secondly, having liberals/left wingers or whatever they are calling themselves this week, aboard this site is a GOOD thing. To begin with, they, too, are entitled to their opinions, we all fought for them to have that right. We don't have to like it, but if we disagree in a respectful manner, (as opposed to dogpiling and name calling LOL) and they do the same, it only makes us all think all the more.

Also, having opposing points of view exposed here is yet another way of "Know your enemy". I've read far more of "the left's" work than I have of the right wing for the most part. Just as when I was on AD, I knew far more about bad guy weapons, tactics, and training, than I did about friendly forces. The same point applies.

Jet, what exactly did you expect from a Marine Corps site, anyway? You are dang right we 'lean to the right'. If you thought a bunch of Marines, former and retired, active and reserve, were going to be 'progressive' or some such, then welcome to reality LOL. Just the way it is.

I will argue and disagree til the cows come home, but in the end, we ALL "earned the title" and I will treat the poster in that manner, as a fellow Marine, until they prove themselves otherwise, heated debate or no.

The Leprechaun has spoken LOL

I don't know where they got his TWO tours in Vietnam - the bastard was over there a total of 3 ****ing months. One of his "combat awards" was shooting a VC in the back AS HE WAS RUNNING AWAY FROM THE PIECE OF ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALSO, ms kerry has re-written the citation to his Silver Star Award, I think at last count, it was THREE TIMES.
Knowing what I know now about this piece of ****, if I had seen him in his SHORT tour in Vietnam I would have shot his ****ing ass!!!!!!!!!!!!
