1/24 Marines return to California from Iraq

Members of 1st Battalion, 24th Marines, returned to Twentynine Palms, Calif., from Iraq on Wednesday, according to a base release.
Another group is slated to return Friday evening, with a total of 498 battalion members returning this week, the release said.
They deployed to Anbar province in October, the release said.
The battalion is a Reserve unit headquartered at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich.
