i am in the delayed entry program and i am thinking about going into avionics is there anyone in this field who can tell me what its like and if it is a good field?

usually avionics do tests and change computers and play with radars depending, pretty much stuff like that if you are O or I level.
I level you will actually work more with the components themselves adn O level is actually with the planes and while they are installed.
aviation electrician works and is usually in the same area as avionics as they are the ones who repair wires mux's and **** like that.
Also they love the game magic and get into fist fights of D&D HAHAHA
Much better to be O level at least i think so you wont be traped inside...

I WAS AN AVIONICSMAN '80-'84 HMM-261, AND HMM-162 W/ BOTH UNITS IN BEIRUT. WORKED ON SEA KNIGHTS, HUEYS, COBRAS, AND SEA STALLIONS.
COULDNT HAVE DONE THAT IF I WERE IN I-LEVEL MAINT. IF YOU SWING WITH THE WING, GO O-LEVEL!
NOT AS COMFORTABLE, BUT A HELL OF A RIDE!
