Daniel MCRD San Diego is in San Diego right next door to the airport. Camp Pendleton is about 60 miles up north on Interstate 5. Visitors are allowed every thursday and friday for family day and graduations.

I heard if you're with a Marine you can enter MCRD when ever you want.
Because my friend he is a Marine, he is taking me to Camp Pendleton, and then he said he can get me in to MCRD

Possibly, but it will be a restricted visit! You will not be able to tour the entire Depot!

If you're with a member of the military you can visit most bases from any branch of service. It would be in your best interest to stay on the near side of the grinder during your visit. If you cross to the other side you're in recruit and DI land and that isn't a place they want visitors to be unexpectedly.

its off of pacific coast highway. and like most bases to get on you need a military ID
