VMU-1 Marines back at Twentynine Palms today

Members of Twentynine Palms, Calif.-based Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron 1 are slated to return to the base today from Iraq, according to a base release.
Approximately 130 Marines and sailors with the squadron are scheduled to return. They deployed to Anbar province in October, the release said.
Another 130 members of the squadron returned to Twentynine Palms on April 7.
They were replaced in theater by members of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C.-based VMU-2, according to a Twentynine Palms spokesman.
