I am looking for anyone who knew James McGarvey. He was the first Marine pilot who went down over North Vietnam in an A-6 in 1967. He was with VMA (AW)- 242 out of Cherry Point. He is my daughter-in-law's grandfather.

Thanks much and Semper Fi,
Dave Shaver

My name is Eric Price and I have Major James McGarvey's POW Bracelet dated 4.17.1967. I have been looking to return it to the family for some time and this is the closest I've come so far after a lot of years. I see that your daughter in law is his grand daughter. Please let me know how I may return it to her as it would be my honor to do this.

Regards,
Eric Price

Eric,
I hate to ask this way but are we moving on this at all? I was pumped when I read your post and I told Jame's Grand daughter. She is extremely excited. Let me know if this is for real or should I drop it.
