...I dont sign up at 17. i want to go between 11th and 12th grade, but my parents wont support my decission to join at 17. AHH what to do. I guess theres no way around your parents at 17. Any one else have/had this problem?

Ethan there are many others that share your problem. In fact I would say that problem has been around as long as the delayed entry program has been. Hang in there your 18th birthday will come, until then prepare yourself as if you were in the DEP.

I agree with Jim. I know this is not what you want to hear but till you reach 18 the parents rule.

In the meantime, as Jim said, prepare yourself as if you were already in DEP. You can come here and ask anything you want to know, and there are many resources that you can be referred to by some of the Marines here. We understand where you are right now, and will do whatever we can to help you along the way.
