DoD releases names in two non-hostile deaths

The Defense Department on Friday released the names of two Marines who each died in a “non-hostile incident” in Iraq’s Anbar province.
The deaths, which occurred a day apart, are both under investigation by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, the Defense Department said Friday.
Lance Cpl. Steven M. Chavez, 20, of Hondo, N.M., died Wednesday. He was assigned to the Camp Pendleton, Calif.-based 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines.
Lance Cpl. Raymond J. Holzhauer, 19, of Dwight, Ill., died Thursday. He was assigned to 2nd Maintenance Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, in Camp Lejeune, N.C.
