Letters and supplies are being collected for Marines
Letters and supplies are being collected for sending to U.S. Marines stationed in Iraq.
The letters and supplies are being collected by Marine Parents, an organization with a warehouse in Columbia.
Locally, supplies such as toothbrushes, socks, snacks, Girl Scout cookies and, of course, letters are being collected in a box at the Peoples Bank of Moniteau County, located at the Jamestown facility. In the past, letters have been received from elementary school students attending St. Andrews, Tipton, California, Jamestown and Prairie Home. Letters are welcome from individuals as well.
The current batch will be picked up on March 30 and transported to the Marine Parents warehouse in Columbia on March 31.
