Girl Scouts To Send 1,000 Boxes Of Cookies To Troops

Local girls scouts are selling their cookies like any other group, but this year they received a special request.
Last year Girl Scout Troop 418 from York County sent boxes to Marines stationed Iraq.
The girls troop leader knows the executive officer of the battalion.
This year, when the Marines didn't get their cookies, the officer called the girls asking where the cookies were.
The girls are now trying to raise 1,000 boxes of girl scout cookies to send to Iraq, one for every person in the unit.
The girls will include a personal message with each box.
So far the girls have raised 300 boxes.
