The Plan




In the beginning was the Plan
And then came the assumptions,

And the assumptions were without form,

And the plan was completely without substance,

And the darkness was upon the faces of the Privates, the PFCs, and the Lance Corporals, And the spake amongst themselves, saying:

"It is a crock of **** and it stinks!"

And the Privates, the PFCs, and the Lance Corporals went unto their Corporals and Sergeants, saying:

"It is a pail of dung and none my abide by the odor thereof."

And the Corporals and Sergeants went unto their Staff Noncommissioned Officers, saying:

"It is a container of excrement and it is very strong such that none my abide by it."

And the Staff Noncommissioned Officers went unto their Lieutenants and Captains, saying:

"It is a vessel of fertilizer and none my abide by its strength."

And the Lieutenants and Captains went unto their Majors, Lieutenant Colonels, and Colonels, saying:

"It contains that which aid plant growth and it is very strong."

And the Majors, Lieutenant Colonels, and Colonels went unto their Generals, saying:

"It promotes growth and is very powerful."

And the Generals went unto Headquarters Marine Corps, saying:

"This new plan will actively promote the growth and efficiency of the Marine Corps!"

And Headquarters Marine Corps looked upon the plan and saw that it was good, and the plan became Marine Corps Order.


That, is how **** Happens!
