I would like to know if you are allowed to leave the country while in the DEP, and also is there anything fun to go do in California if a person is under eighteen? Other than go to Boot Camp.

I've left the country while being in the DEP...just let your recruiter know and why your going. And if its just that Cali to Mexico thing at night thats really no big deal. Umm...you can....drink?
No, I'm under age and I don't plan on drinking for a long time.

To the poster, I informed my recruiter of my international spring break plans and he said "no biggie, just keep in touch and don't kill yourself."
No, I'm under age and I don't plan on drinking for a long time. well, In Mexico drinking is legal at 18 but that is a blurred line so it really isn't illegal or making you "underage"!

ive been in dep since last july im 18 and i went to mexico where the drinking age is 18 just incase anyone didnt know and yes i was hammered for most of my vacation.....it's ok
Just stay safe and do not get involved with the wrong people.
