Huey crashes during training in Kenya

A UH-1N Huey helicopter with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 264 crashed Monday while training in Kenya, leaving six service members with “non-threatening injuries,” according to a statement released by the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
The crash occurred near Manda Bay, Kenya, and the injured service members were treated aboard the amphibious assault ship Bataan, the release said. The Camp Lejeune, N.C.-based MEU is training with Kenyan armed forces for Exercise Edged Mallet.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, the release said.
The condition of the helicopter, along with details on the service members, including their nationality, were not initially released.
