I don't have any experience in it, but I'd suggest wandering over to the JAG office and speaking with any of the enlisted Marines working there, they could give you the scoop.

What is it you're looking to find out? As 4402 at the time I left the Corps, I might be able to help you out.

I was a 4422 -- legal clerk & court reporter -- but that was a lot of years ago! At a Marine Barracks, I did much more clerking than court reporting, and found it a good MOS. If you learn the field well, you can make yourself a valuable resource to your command, and be rewarded accordingly.

As Aircooled stated it is a good job. I had similar job he is speaking of for 5 years with several years with the 1st Marine Division then went to Japan and ended up being the chief legal clerk court-reporter and ended up to finish my last few months at Quantico. Very interesting work, I got to meet a lot of different people from all walks of life.

This thread was made before I even joined the Marine Corps and people are still commenting on it? Lol

These things happen all the time, no big deal, people do a search for, say, Camp Lejeune, and a thread comes up from 2002 and they comment on it like it was yesterday. Happens a lot.

One poster answered a question about what to have for a good nutritious series of meals and the original poster had been in and out of the Corps for 7 years!
