View Full Version : Once a Marine, always a Marine? I don't think so

They say that once you are a Marine, you are always a Marine. I find two instances where that is not true! I'm sure there are more, but these two come to mind. First, Lee Harvey Oswald...Next come John Murtha (spelling?)
In my estimation, neither deserves to be called Marine. We all know what Lee Oswald did, but for John Murtha to call his fellow Marines killers, slaps every Marine past and present, in the face. Shame on you John Murtha! You do not deserve the title former Marine! With the exception of the aforementioned names, I also firmly believe that there are NO "former" Marines, they are Marines until the day they die! Semper Fi!

Jim,

Nice post. I haven't thought about it; but, IMO, I think you may be correct. Semper Fi Devil Dog.
