If you join the USMC and make it through boot camp, does having a college degree, but no rotc, help you in anyway in getting a job you want or anything else, or is it irrevelant.

If you want to be a Marine having a degree will only help you. It is not going to lock any job in for you. If you to be an officer then you would need to go see the OSO (he is the person that recruits Marine officers). As an enlisted Marine, I would say the BEST officers are prior enlisted.
