SD-Based Marines, Sailors Deploy To Iraq
One hundred-fifty San Diego-based Marines and sailors set off on their way to Iraq Monday, 10News reported.
The men and women with the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing will be stationed in the Al-Anbar province in Iraq.
Many have already served in the same part of Iraq, but for some this is their first time.
Members of the squadron are expected to be in Iraq for six months, but their deployment could be extended to as long as one year.
