Looking for any MArine that trained in plt 1085, San Diego, 1969

Hey davblay I was in MCRD San Diego in plt 1082. I wonder if we were in the same series? The senior DI was a really tall black master sgt. but I don't remember his name and saw him while I was in Iwakuni Japan and ran into one of my DIs there.
We got held on a Congressional investigation after boot and all the rest of the series was sent on to Pendleton for ITR. We followed a couple of weeks later.
Let me know and we can compare notes.
