The "Buddy Program"

I've looked into this because I am leaving to boot with 3 Friends. Now, It seems like a good idea, because you'll go through boot with a good friend, BUT I dont think the D.I's would think the same? I bet the Drill Instructors would make you both hold hands if you messed up. or if ONE person in the buddy program messed up, BOTH "friends" have to pay the concequences.. And Now, to me it seems more of a bad idea and more of a chance for the Drill Instructors to give me "special attention"

Can anyone whose been through boot agree with what I said? or did your buddy program experience go smooth?

i went through recruit training with two of my best friends from high school. i dont think the drill instructors knew we were in the buddy program, and we did not volunteer that information either
