Questions about ASVAB importance

I recently DEP'ed in and was wondering if ASVAB scores are only used in the initial MOS selection process. I scored very high and was wondering if later down the road, these scores might be of importance. I am going 0311 in a reserve unit. Thanks for the help.

yes it IS important - you may decide later you want to get into another MOS. You ALWAYS want to do your best at whatever you do, you never know when it will help you later down the road.
