When I returned to the States in '73, I was assigned to a reserve unit at MCAS El Toro... We supported A-4's and OV-10's.
Would any of you happen to know what the Unit Number might have been?
TIA

Was it "I" level support for A4 and OV-10 aircraft? Then it might have been a H&MS (HAMS) Squadron? Maybe H&MS-46. In 1987 all H&MS Squadrons were redesignated MALS (Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron). After getting off active duty in 1991, I went in the reserve. MALS-46 Avionics in El Toro/Tustin in the 1990's. We supported F/A-18 and CH-46 aircraft.
The old timers talked of supporting A4's and F4's back in the day.

Montana Greetings!
Thanks for the Reply Robert...
It was an "O" level outfit... I am sure that it would have adapted to the latest aircraft over time... F/A-18's and 46's would seem to have been good choices..
Us Geriatics need something technical to talk about when were done with topics on arthritis and erectile dysfunction :)
