Marines thank Christiana students

During the holiday's 6th-graders at Christiana Middle School sent bundles of handmade cards and letters to Murfreesboro native Andy Honeycutt's U.S. Marine detachment in Okinawa, Japan.

This week, the Marines returned the favor sending the students a photographic thank you.

Richard Rorabaugh's class headed up the project. Andy's brother, Kenneth, is in his classroom.
Andy is a 2002 graduate of Riverdale and is the son of Kenneth Honeycutt, fire marshal/
assistant chief for the Murfreesboro Fire Department. Andy has three other brothers, Matt and Ben Honeycutt and Robbie Scolaro.

Early last week the Honeycutt family learned Andy was accepted for Embassy Guard Duty.
He had too jump many hurtles and interviews to be assigned to this. He will leave Okinawa
for training in Washington in the spring. Once he completes his training he will be
assigned an U.S. Embassy to guard as a U.S. Marine.
