After searching and searching, I can't specifically figure out what Force Recon is all about, beside that they are really good at what they do. Furthermore, are they an active group or "were" they a team in the past. Im going to keep searching but, I thought maybe some other Poolees and soon to be's would interested as well. Like I said Im gonna keep searching, Im sure somewhere in this wealth of knowledge Ill find an aswer.

I'm almost positive I've seen this link on this site somewhere, but I'm feeling generous today and I'm not gonna make you look for it, so here you go:

Yeah, there's references and links to resources, but not a lot posted that's easy to just go look at! LOL

Phoenix Rogue,
Try Google.com. Also, if you can link up to the 2nd Marine Division (The only one that I know but there are others.) There should be a Recon. link up. My son was slated for Recon Indoc. but it was determined, because he is a squad leader, that he was needed where his was....and then came Kuwait. Everything that should have, or could have, taken place was put on hold. S- happens but the general info. is out there if you look for it. Good luck.

Phoenix Rogue,

I was in Force Recon from 1990-1994. If I can answer any questions for you let me know. Basically, Force Recon know has a dual mission, deep recon and IHR (Inextremis Hostage Rescue).
Please let me know if theres any other questions you have.

I had actually seen the first link before. Didn't show up right though, I thought it was a bad site. Must have caught it at a bad time.

And thanks to recent past experiences i've been on this site reading EVERYDAY. Around this time and later on in the evening. Still have long ways to go. Not to mention all the new stuff that's always pouring in. Pretty sure i've got most of the poolee forum done moving on to Marine mentor. Learn more and more every time i sit down. :)

assault69 - you may not be aware of it, but there is this little thing called work. I know, I know it’s a four letter word and momma told you not to swear, but trust me it’ll help you out in the long run. wrbones, drifter and the rest of the guys, including some of the poolees have posted some really, really good information on the Poolee and Mentor forums. If you do a little bit of <gasp> WORK and read the posts in those forums, you’ll find most of, if not all, the information you could possibly need. Now get to it, and don’t let me catch you standin’ around looking for freebies.

03, ya need to concentrate on yer guidebook fer Marines and yer PT, bud! Then read everything in the POOL-ee Hall and Marine Mentor forums!

They're screening folks better than they used to, so the fall-out rate in recruit training ain't what it was, but still...it ain't a skate! ;)

I don't want it to be a skate. If it was an easy thing all the wimps at my school would join the Marines. I want it to be hard. That is what Marines are known for. 2Months and counting...........
