Beaufort leathernecks to deploy Wednesday

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. — Members of a Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, S.C.-based squadron will deploy to Iraq on Wednesday, according to an air station press release.
Thirteen leathernecks with Marine Air Control Squadron 2’s Alpha Detachment will leave for a seven-month deployment to various forward operating bases in Anbar province.
During their deployment, the Marines will provide air traffic control capabilities to air bases and squadrons operating in the region.
