Corps seeks athlete of the year nominations

The Corps is searching for its two most athletic leathernecks, according to a Corps-wide message released Tuesday.
MarAdmin 036/07 seeks nominations for the 2006 Male and Female Athlete of the Year. Applications must be submitted through the Marine’s chain of command and local Marine Corps Community Services athletic director, the message states.
The message directs all installations with an MCCS to submit the names of one female and one male Marine selected as athlete of the year for the installation. Nominations for the Corps-wide award are due by March 15, and the winners will be announced March 30.
The Corps will honor its two top athletes this summer at the 2007 Marine Corps Sports Hall of Fame Luncheon at Quantico, Va., according to the message.
