Marines With West Michigan Ties Killed In Iraq

MICHIGAN-AP — A 20-year-old Marine from the Kalamazoo area has been killed in Iraq.
Lance Corporal Luis Castillo died Saturday in combat in Al Anbar province.
Castillo is from Lawton, that's about 25-miles south-west of Kalamazoo in Van Buren County. He served in the Marine Reserve's First Batallion out of Lansing.
Also 23-year-old Marine from Texas, based out of Grand Rapids was also killed. Corporal Jacob Neal died Friday also in Al Anbar province.
Neal was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division in Grand Rapids.
