Does anyone know how I can get a copy of my discharge papers? Need it for new Job.

You should be able to get a copy by filling out forms at the National archives. go to NARA.gov. I beleive it is Standard Form-180. I did it for my record's and discharge papers (dd-214) i also got the discharge certificate or warrant (whatever its called in it's pretty little holder). I also Obtained Records for my father From his service in Viet Nam. He was also entitled to a free of charge, one time Medal replacement.

Another way is when you are discharged a copy is sent to the state you enlisted from. Depending on your state you can call the state VA and generall obtain a certified copy from them.
