If your family’s newest authorized military exchange customer was born Jan. 1, 2007, you’re eligible to enter an online “New Year Baby Sweepstakes” sponsored by the Army and Air Force Exchange Service.

Three prizes — bundles of baby goodies valued at more than $500 each — will be given away to parents of Jan. 1 babies in a drawing to be held Feb. 5.

All entries must be received online before midnight Central time Jan. 31. Click on “2007 New Year Baby Sweepstakes” under the “Enter our sweepstakes” section near the bottom of the home page.

Winners will be required to provide proof that their baby was born Jan. 1, 2007, in their local time zone.

Some 244 entries had been submitted as of Tuesday, said Judd Anstey, spokesman for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service.

Only authorized shoppers are allowed to enter the contest. The Web site will verify eligibility before allowing the shopper to enter the contest. Shoppers from all branches of service are eligible to enter.

According to the AAFES, the prizes will include, at a minimum, a stroller, toddler bed, security gate, bouncer, tub, bassinet, activity center and swing, along with a one-year supply of AAFES Exchange Select Diapers and a six-month supply of Baby’s Choice Formula.
