Mission Kissimmee: Find vacation deals for troops

For 16 years, the Kissimmee Convention & Visitors Bureau has brought together the military's top travel professionals from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard for the annual Kissimmee Military Marketing Seminar.
Beginning today, military travel planners will coordinate this year's seminar with local industry partners, including representatives from major theme parks, small attractions and area hotels.
The five-day seminar will present an overview of what vacation options Central Florida has to offer military personnel and their families who are stationed across the country.
"Our long history and association with the military's information, ticket and tour offices have proven very successful in presenting key insights and perspectives that make booking Kissimmee and Central Florida attractive," said Rene Kuziv, senior sales representative with the bureau.
Sessions will take place on tickets, travel and reservations.
Front-desk staff members who sell vacation packages and marketing professionals who coordinate travel agreements with local attractions and accommodation providers will supply information.
Attendees are given bus tours of attractions, shows, hotels and shopping opportunities to experience Central Florida's entertainment and hospitality venues.
The activities begin with a reception at the Best Western Lakeside hotel at 4 p.m., before a marketing roundtable seminar.
The Radisson Resort Orlando-Celebration is the host hotel.
