'Woodruff Reports' Gets Pushed Up For Sweeps
By Michele Greppi
"To Iraq and Back: Bob Woodruff Reports" has been scheduled for 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, on ABC.

Originally meant to air in the spring, the special was moved up to the penultimate night of the February sweeps ratings period because Mr. Woodruff continues to recover more quickly than expected from devastating head and other injuries he received from a bomb explosion while on assignment in Baghdad in January 2006.

"To Iraq and Back" is the story of Mr. Woodruff's injury and rehabilitation and the people who have played a part all along the way. Mr. Woodruff's wife Lee will talk about the gravity of her husband's medical condition and the impact on their family.

The hour also includes the Woodruffs' return to Bethesda Naval Hospital for the first time since his six-week stay there. In addition to visiting the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for Mr. Woodruff at ABC's expense, the special will also spotlight other soldiers and Marines recovering from life-altering injuries.
