Company B Troops Celebrate Christmas Day
(WSBT) Many area families are spending this Christmas separated from their loved ones serving in Iraq. That includes the Marines of South Bend-based Company B.
South Bend Tribune reporter Fred Dodd is spending the holiday with those Marines. He sent us video Monday of members of the 2nd platoon also gathering together to take a group photo on Christmas morning.
He also got footage of Company B's officers and staff non-commissioned officers helping to serve the Christmas meal.
Here's some of what our fighting men and women had for that meal: Chilled shrimp cocktail, Roast turkey, Prime rib, Glazed Cornish hens, Crab legs, Baked carved ham, Mashed potatoes, Candied yams, Hot rolls, and a selection of pies and pastries.
