I think the DIs took too many of Mickey Rooney's pills.
I wonder what that poor kid did to get four DIs on him all at once. Better him than me.

at the end you see that last DI sorta smile...
They were probibly bored and just wanted to video tape jacking a recruit up... and it looks like they use him not greeting a marine as an excuse to do that

You're probably right. Seems as if I lived through something kind of like that a few times myself, but I don't remember having more than three DIs yell at me at a given time. And one of them wasn't very good at it.
