Hello Marines,
On March 25, 2007, I will execute a 27-mile road march from Rockland to
Westchester County, NY.
This one day event is aptly named “Rock to West." It will begin in Thiells, NY and end in Ossining, NY where the National Headquarters for The Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes is located. The Coalition is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that was created to help severely
wounded and disabled Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi
Freedom veterans and their families rebuild their lives.
I have a personal goal to raise awareness as well as $25,000 through my road march for the Coalition.
I am also honored to report that I will be carrying the unit guidon from 3/7
Kilo Company during my road march. This is to honor Cpl. Jason Dunham who as you know was nominated to receive the Medal of Honor for his actions in Iraq.
Cpl. Dunham was a NY State resident and a member of 3/7. I requested to carry the guidon as a representation of how the unselfish actions of one Marine can mean so much to so many.
I only hope that my actions during this road march will also mean so much to so many as well. Please help me create an awareness for this Charity Road March by passing this post along and by donating to this wonderful organization. Tax deductable donations can be made directly on my site at:
