Ok, guys, so what do you think'll happen if I arrive wearing that cover, my USMC poolee shirt, (with a Colonol's rank insignia) and a Dress blue blouse with Sgt. Major of the Marine Corps chevrons over that, and service alpha trousers with reeboks, a USMC tattoo on my arm, an EGA nose ring, and aviator's sunglasses?

Please, please, please, Do it!!! Then let us know what happens (or have your next of kin let us know). You may not like(or survive) the results, but the entertainment value for the rest of us will be "PRICELESS". :D  I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU. Hahahahahahahaha!

If you are dumb enough to suggest it I hope your are b*llsy enough to follow through because you will deserve just what you ask for and get...

Otherwise you are just another loudmouth a$$hole puke who will bring their stink to the Corps...

There was a guy in my company that had a Marine Corps bulldog tattoo that said Devil Dog. He came to our platoon from MRP, our heavy nearly had a stroke, and he went to another platoon. Some people just don't think.

Basically you will not make it thru. I wouldn't give you 4 weeks. The DI's know an attitude case when it slaps them in the face. Leave the attitude at home.

As amusing as this sounds to me(as I'm a bit of a sadistic SOB, myself) even I'm not that cruel. I would STRONGLY advise against it. Ask some of these former Drill Instructors how much of a sense of humor they have during the first phase. (hint-less than zero) They hate smart asses, love to make examples of some one as soon as possible, and have very good memories of the first names that came to their attention. I always found it best if they didn't know my name off the top of their head-it's the "travel unnoticed and unknown" principal! That way when a crap detail comes up, your name isn't the second thing that comes to mind. The first time you want them to notice you is when you've done something so outstandingly well that they remark "there might be hope for your sorry ass, yet"! However, if you you have to make your mark in this manner; by all means, let us know how it works out! BTW, why would anyone have a Marine tattoo that ain't a Marine to start with? :devious:

Gentlemen, it was a joke. I wasn't even contemplating it. If you read Accord's thread it was just a late night thing that we were thinking of. We were just talking about funny things (as an outsider) one could see a recruit do at boot. Not saying I'd want to do anything like that. I'm not an idiot.

As for having an attitude case? Yes sir, I do have an attitude case. I'm the most motivated poolee you'll ever meet, and I'll be glad to prove it to you sir!

Ya never can tell with you kids! "Never underestimate the stupidity of a recruit!" (Every Drill Instructor alive) :marine:

lol, I've heard that before. What is it, if you put a recruit in a padded room with two steel balls he'll break one and lose the other?

Come back a Marine. Proof enough.
My graduation date *will* be in 9 months and 10 days.

LOL, I like that one! How about "beat the hinges off the steel doors of hell with a rubber hammer"?

You two, heh ... if after you earn the title either of you have the opportunity to do recruiter's assistance, I want to see if you can pull off telling a Poolee that he or she should wear one of those things or a combination of a few of those things during the trip to an MCRD. Do it with a straight face. Perhaps the whole long paragraph might be a bit much to expect someone to believe, but, if you encounter a particularly gullible Poolee, be sure to record it for posterity and amusement.
