1. I have allergies to some forms of grass, but it's mostly just during pollen season. I take Claritin everytime my allergies act up, and Im fine for the next 24 hours. My question is if I'd be able to bring Claritin or some other form of allergy medication to bootcamp(Like an over-the-counter type medicine), or would I need a doctor's persciption and everything. My allergies arent severe, its just basically runny and stuffy nose, sneezing and some times watery eyes. I dont have asthma either. My allergies arent life threatening, its just something God gave to me to annoy me.

2. My vision is much to be desired. I SHOULD wear my glasses that I have, but I dont. Im usually squinting at far away things. I know during Boot Camp, I'll get those dead-sexy(yeah right) BC glasses. My question is if I should get LASIK before I go to Boot Camp, or after. I know the Military gives a HUGE discount on LASIK, and depending on your MOS, you can get it for nearly free.

Thanks For the Help,
Matt

You cannot bring any medication with you to boot camp. You'll just throw it away when you get there if you try. If you need the medication it will be given to you when you are there.

I would say not to get the LASIK. Just wear the glasses. I promise, there is nobody there to impress. If you want surgery later, you can get it done. And who knows, they may come up with something even better between now and then.

Thanks for the help there. Yes, I was leaning toward to LASIK after Boot Camp.

As for the glasses, dont worry they give you some very impressive ones.

When you get to boot camp just remember to politely remind your Senior that you have those allergies I am sure he will accomodate you. HAR HAR HAR. Just kidding bad idea.

I think the proper way to tell your Senior is "Hey, I need my allergy meds...Sir" LOL Yet again, another BAD idea.
