I’m hopefully going to be a grunt. But my religion doesn’t permit me to drink alcoholic. Why do you ask, If I may ask?

Relax ya'll - I personally never met one that didn't drink but it won't be a big thing if you don't. We ALL need(ed) designated drivers every now and then - you guys do drive don't ya?

I know of one grunt that doesn't drink. People make fun of him, but it isn't the end of the world. Just be ready to hear things about the Marine Corps being born in a bar, so all real Marines drink etc.

As for nongrunts. I don't drink, and people had fun with that too.

You'll die from dehydration if you don't drink :p

We've got a handful of Mormons in our unit. They took a bit of crap when they first got to the fleet but nobody bothers them about not drinking anymore.

You needing a ride 84?

Other than that, who cares if you drink or not, except someone who doesn't want to look stupid alone ( yeah-that's me) Drinking doesn't get you nothing but trouble , in the military or out. I speak from experience-just wish I could say I've learned from it (I haven't)

BTW-M84-isn't against the rules for you to be fishing in this pool? You wouldn't be trying to catch some of these young guys and wrap them up in your devious web of sexual intrigue, would you? Bad girl, bad girl!! You know you have to throw them back if they are under a certain size and age, don't you? And it's a sliding scale, each year the limitations change. Now I think I understand why you're always hanging out around PI on graduation day. :D ;)

DW you are sooooooooooooo full of $h!t! See kids, DW is a perfect example of what happens to you when you drink - HAHAHAHAHA!

DW I was going to send this to you by PM but I don't have an option to post a pic with PM so here it is...........................

I see where Oliver North is your favorite Marine - here's a pic for you..........it's a group shot of the local chapter of the WMA that I'm with and him this past Vets Day. He was the Grand Marshall at the parade in Marietta and WE got to escort him. We had a 5 ton and this smaller vehicle and he rode in the 5 ton with the women (and our mascot - Meathead)standing beside him. I think they told his bodyguards (I guess you would call them) to just have a seat and relax for the ride cause he was well protected with them - I laughed my a$$ off!

Nice talk in front of these children!
See kids, this is what happens when you let girls become life takers and heart breakers!
:p
Your analyses of my example is unfortunate, but alas, true. Which one are you in the pic-it's hard to see with my old whiskey soaked eyes!

I'm the one in the yellow Tshirt on the back end of the truck (the word "proof" cuts across me). That was so much fun! There are only 2 of us in the pic that went in during peacetime - the rest have covered WWII, Vietnam and Iraq - LOTS of WM history in that pic.

I knew one while I was in. He was a vegetarian. I don't know if that was why he did not drink but it was the reason why all our peanut butter and jelly got gobbled up when we went to the field with him. Poor guy.
