[QUOTE][Murtha is one of 12 Democrats who voted against the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform bill. He's one of four who killed a strong Democratic ethics package earlier this year. He is a one-man earmarking factory whose beneficiaries have included a lobbying firm that employed his brother and another founded by a former top aide/QUOTE]

He may be a crook but his constituents felt he was fit for reelection!

The sad fact is, the war in Iraq cannot be won. We have been sucked into their style of warfare just as we were sucked into the warfare of Vietnam. What's new? This was pointed out when the war there began. Go back and read the posts. We had already won the war when we then decided to "build a new government". It's long past time to go!

Once again, the military "won the war" and the politicians are "losing the peace". If the gov. would let the military finish the job before they stuck their noses in they might actually accomplish something. But all the pols. want credit for the victory so they have to put in their two cents, which usually isn't worth that much, and screw things up. You can not win the "hearts and minds" of people you are shooting at. Defeat the enemy, subdue the populace, by whatever means necessary. Once that is done, let the diplomats in to scurry around playing their silly games and let the warriors go home.:usmc:
