Mittens For Marines

A local quilt shop spent its Veteran's Day stitching stockings for our Troops.
The Town square Fabric's Angel Sewers spent their day making eighty Christmas mittens for the marine corps unit bound for Iraq.
The mittens were stuffed with several personal items, phone cards and even some homemade holiday candy for the soldiers.
This is the second year in a row the unit will be away from home during the holiday season and the sewers felt these mittens were a great way to bring the holidays to them.
The Quilt Shop says they hope to have the mittens in the mail by next week because the unit could be deployed at anytime.
