Florida-based reservists who were ordered to remain at Camp Lejeune, N.C., as part of an investigation into allegations of possible misconduct in Iraq have been authorized to return to their home training center, according to a II Marine Expeditionary Force news release.
Seventeen Marines with Bravo Company, 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion, had been ordered to stay at Lejeune after returning from an Iraq deployment in late October.
The other 92 Marines and sailors with the unit returned to Jacksonville, Fla., on Sunday.
An investigation continues, but officials will not comment on the specific allegations.
