Jacksonville, Florida (January 22, 2003) - Leatherneck Guide Inc. (LGI), one of the leading providers of technology and services to the Marine online community, today announced that it has partnered with the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(C)(3) not-for-profit public charity.

LGI has integrated Toys For Tots into their portfolio of collaboration services and will market a year long fundraiser. Under the agreement, LGI and its online Marine community anchored by Leatherneck.com will raise money for Tots For Tots by marketing and promoting a raffle that will give away a 100th Anniversary Harley-Davidson Motorcycle and a trip for two to the 2004 Daytona 500. The raffle will commence immediately and will climax on December 7, 2003 with the drawing of two lucky winners.

In addition to the alliance with the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation, LGI has also created a partnership with the Jacksonville Semper Fidelis Society and the Marine Corps Youth Foundation. Both are 501 (C) not-for-profit charitable organizations and both will receive a portion of the funds raised.

“What a special opportunity this is for us and for the Marine community,” stated Gerald L. Shaffer, President of LGI. “Our goal is to do what former Marines do best: help Marines and help Marine affiliated charities. Through strategic alliances, the use of technology and dedicated volunteers from Leatherneck.com, we have a chance to raise a lot of money for three very good causes. This is a total team effort, something that is instilled by the Marine Corps.”

The Jacksonville Semper Fidelis Society is an association of former Marines whose purpose is to maintain the camaraderie, esprit de corps and sense of purpose that identifies them as Marines. “The Jacksonville Semper Fidelis Society has been the key to this endeavor. Without them this would not have happened.” Under the official registration process in the state of Florida, a charitable raffle has to be registered to a not-for-profit organization. “The Semper Fidelis Society stepped up to the plate and made this raffle a reality. I would like to thank them for their commitment and dedication to the Marine Corps community.”

The Marine Corps Youth Foundation sponsors the National Youth Physical Fitness Program and the Semper Fidelis Award for Musical Excellence Program.
