For years I have been urging Marines--especially old-time Marines--to set up their own websites w/just a basic bio, to begin with, of their military service! A personal website serves the purpose of attracting old buddies on the Internet to your site, serving as a signpost on the WWW for you. It also may serve as a tribute you and your service to our country, as well as others you might mention on your site.

And, it is also valuable as a record of your service for friends and family. In addition, a personal website preserves much valuable information which would otherwise be lost to history. Captain Kerns' website above is an excellent example of this!
