What would be the better route?
1)Enlist for 4-6 years then use the Montgomery G.I. Bill and go to NC State and do NROTC(do the Marine option), then come back into the USMC and become a 2nd Lt. with more experience.
or
2)Go to NC State right out of high school, do NROTC(do the Marine option), get paid like an Officer for 8 years as opposed to Enlisted pay for 4 years, then another 4 years of college, but be less experienced and Green.
personal opinions,experiences, etc.
I'm in 10th grade right now(also doing JROTC) (Air Force part though:( ) lol, and I'm just trying to figure out with what I want to do for a career and what would be the smartest thing to do.
Also, is the Enlisted pay enough to get by on? I know the figures and everything, I'm just trying to see if it's substantial. I know it gets better as you climb in rank and years of service.
Thanks to Anyone who Replies
