MCT and MOS training

Hi everyone,

First of all, I apologize if this isn't the proper place for me to be posting but I have a couple questions I was hoping someone could help me with. My boyfriend recently graduated from recruit training and is now at Camp Pendelton for MCT. I was wondering if he will most likely be sent straight to MOS or if he will get any leave time. I've heard that sometimes they get a couple days in between for recruiter's assistance but I wanted to know what you all thought. Any advice??? Thanks

Advice on what sweetie? He probably had the 10 days after bootcamp before going to MCT, correct? If so, he'll probably go straight to MOS school after MCT. Get used to his being gone A LOT and start booking plane tickets to him ahead of time so you can get cheap airfare.

You don't get leave between MCT and MOS school.

usually recruiters assistance is while on leave after bootcamp..

With me after MCT a few of us left 5 hours before the rest of our company was.. We had to check in the same day across the country... So if he took his 10 days already hes already in the hole as far as leave is concerned and wont be able to take leave till he accrues more leave.

I got 10 Boot leave and 10 leave before going to 1/2. Of course it was during XMas and I think that the Battalion was on a 96 or leave anyway...so they just let us go into the hole more.

Of course now I realize that we are talking about MCT and not SOI...my bad, sorry!
