Hey its me again, and i was just wondering what is a day in the life of an Unmanned Aeriel Vehicle operator?? because that is one that has also interested me. But when i think about it its like "wake up fly the plane around in circles go to sleep wake up do it all over again"...that doesnt exactly thrill me any you know? But i also heard that they get sent in with grunt units most of the time to give support for them so if thats the case thats pretty awesome! And my mom would love me to do that instead of forward infantry you know? So if someone could please who was an UAV operator please tell me what it is like and the schooling and all that??

Thanks,
Matt

I knew several of them, their shop was right behind ours. I don't know about everything that made up their normal day... but I do know that the planes didn't fly every day, often only a couple days a month or so. In combat they may be with the rear elements of the infantry, supposing a more traditional setting than the war in Iraq. But, they exist to use the UAV, not to engage the enemy.
