Marine Not Guilty in Death

A drill instructor at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego was found not guilty Thursday of involuntary manslaughter and dereliction of duty in the drowning death of another drill instructor.
Staff Sgt. David J. Roughan had faced the charges in the death of Staff Sgt. Andrew Gonzales during a swimming class last year.
The decision was made by a military judge after a two-day trial.
