Question for Women Marines!!!

Okay, I know there is a whole list of what you can bring to boot camp. I would like to bring as little as possible. I'm wondering about the bra thing. Obviously I would like to be well supported while I am in boot camp, so should I bring 7 good sports bras, or do they have good ones at the px? Also about bringing one regular bra-can you buy those from the px becuase I'm sure my bra size will change while I am there.

Also the 7 sports bras-do they need to be completely white? My good ones have a little gray symbol(the brand on them) and they also have a metal clasp in the back to close-do they need to be completely cotton? Thanks!!!

That would be one for the newer ones to answer - when I went through we took our own and, yes, they had to be white. Why would you wanna show the Vickie's Secret stuff to a bunch of other women? Just take the cheapest thing you can take cause you'll probably "lose" underwear too - you know how dryers "eat" stuff.

hey there kinders...
I graduated in March.
When I went to boot they issued us sports bras whether we needed them or not. When we were in receiving they give us a mesh bag thats filled with everything we need, then you go through a line and add bra/panties.. stuff like that. as far as support goes, you'll be fine. If you have a few of your own you want to take then go ahead, but just remember a footlocker can only hold so much.
oh and about the dryer losing stuff, your laundry is washed with all the other recruits stuff and when its done its folded and passed out by the nights firewatch. dont be surprised if you lose stuff:)

yes, they issue undergarments to us. They definitely arent anyting you would get from Victorias Secret, but you dont want to be wearing that stuff at boot anyways. Hanes is what you get. You get issued everything you are going to need to go through boot.
