My first visit to 'THe Slop Shute,' just passin through, looks like a great site.
I last visited the USofA in 1996 during Ex Purple Star, with 3 Commando Brigade HQ. Loved the country and the beer:D! The exercise was pants though :o

Catch!! throws a towel to him you're dripping sweat all over the floor :D reaches into the cooler and pulls out a couple cold beers and hands them to him, go sit down by the A/C and cool off before you have heat stroke, too dang hot to be standing in front of a BBQ all day, lets see now Cas you like Margaritas don't you, mixes her up a pitcher and hands it too her, grabs a cold beer out of the cooler for himself.

I saw the photo and thought I should make my why down to the Marina. Apparently, this hot little number must have seen me at the yacht club last night and was too shy to ask for my name. Either that or CAS told her some story to discourage her from meeting me. I know CAS is trying to keep me all to herself. She wants to sail on this love boat, if you know what I mean!!! I might consider making her chief of the boat.

Lunch time, lets see, opens up the big cooler in the back room, I'm sick of steaks, there we go how about some burgers and Brats today, takes out a couple boxes of each, grabs a beer out of the cooler and walks out to the patio, lights the grill and waits while it warms up :) :)

Friday? You gotta be kiddin me? See, working for yourself is like still being in... it never ends. It's now Sunday, and looks like I got a free day.... o wait, the hayfield I call a lawn needs to be baled, er mowed.... the wife really wants me to finish the trim in the kitchen. I'd kinda like to sit on my ass with a few cold Labatt Blue's and contemplate nothingless until dark.
She claims that me finding this site caused a midlife crisis wanting me to shave off my long ass hair, and getting all gung ho again. Since when did hair have anything to do with being a Marine? Since Doc told me I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, I had to decide - drugs or kick it's ass my way. Well, the option list is pretty short, I have to revert back to my former ways. And he (Doc) is whining .... "stop being such a damm Marine and let me help you". Rite, "you squids are all the same". He's a former flight surgeon. Helps sometimes to trust yer Doc. In relative terms so to speak.
Well, off to the local slop chute for chow. I get another reprieve from mess duty.

between 2 computer crashes, I'm just now getting back to getting all my bookmarks, proggies, and all the little doodads and gewgaws of computer life up and running...
a word about me... I'm going to my childhood home in Minnesota in 3 weeks to (hopefully) meet and talk to the last survivor of the original Iwo flag raisers. My parents met him about 3 yrs ago, and I hope to do the same soon!
Nice to see some familiar faces. Don't know how often I'll get back, but I WILL get back!
