Logistics?

I've been looking into logistics. Can anyone give me a breakdown of what exactly this MOS is? From what I've read, Logistics is the science of planning and carrying out the movement and maintenance of forces. If someone could elaborate that would be much appreciated... thanks.

(also.. where would I most likely be going for Logistics training? I was told Albany, GA... but it could be anywhere I'm sure)

The MOS schools are in specific places, and everyone with an MOS goes to the same place for school (other than 03XX which can go to either SOI) In this case you will go to Camp Lejeune/Johnson for everything other than 0451 which is at Ft. Lee (Riggers school) and Ft. Benning (jump school).

Get ready for looooong working hours, weekends, etc. Hope you like office work, man. I spent my final six months in the Corps as as a logistics clerk up in the 4. It can be pretty skate, but you will most definitely work your tail off. I wouldn't want that to be my MOS. Besides, most enlisted Marines will do time in the 4 at some point in their enlistment. Go 1371, blow stuff up. Trust me, it's one of the best MOS's. Semper Gumby,

Logistics= Beans, Bandages, Bullets. This was some time ago, so a few more items may have been added by now.
